The Boat Magic is an offshore 105, she has MCA category 2 License and is powered by an Iveco 330 hp engine. She cruises at 15 knts fully loaded. The usual electronics in the wheel house to get you right onto the dive sites and home safely. Most importantly there is an ipod dock so don't forget your ipod. The skipper is not responsible for his taste in music, you have been warned. Facilities on board include a sea toilet (soft loo paper) and complimentary tea or coffee.
Jim O’Connor has run his own boat for 17 years. Prior to that he crewed and skippered boats for the Jersey underwater centre. Since he started running his own boat Jim has taken local out of local diving and taken divers further a field, He and his crew have lead the way and others have followed, They were the first local boat to dive the Sauvage reef, the wrecks close to France the Hinrich Hey and Walter Darre, also the MV Heron. Next year they have new dive sites so watch this space. Jim is a qualified diver; and worked for five years as an instructor, and also worked commercially. He was the diving officer for a local dive club and also owned a PADI 5 star centre. He was on the first teams of volunteers to man the recompression chamber when it was initially set up. Did we mention Jim also pressure tests cylinders and services most diving equipment? Well that's another service he provides too, welcome aboard.
